Sarah Hoag is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a BA in Human and Social
Development, the University of Providence with a B.Sc in Elementary Education (K-8) and
Walden University with a M.Sc in Educational Leadership and Administration.
She has spent over 30 years in specialized settings, working with students with a variety of learning and behaviour
needs. Sarah has taught courses in grades 2-11 but her heart belongs to junior high! She has
held many leadership roles over her career in education, including Curriculum Lead, Academic
Dean, Dean of Student Affairs, Director of Stakeholder Engagement and currently sits on the
Board of Directors for the Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta (LDAA).
Sarah’s passion for working with neurodiverse students is evident in the fact that her entire career has been
dedicated to educating students and families with learning differences.
