Heather is one of the two founders of Links 2 Learning Online Inc., a new company located in Kelowna, BC. Heather, and co-founder, Terry Dobson each have a Master’s degree in Education, and more than 25 years of experience working with, and developing individualized programs for struggling learners. They have taught graduate level university courses and frequently share their knowledge at regional and international conferences.
Terry and Heather have extensive training and certification in many of the most effective remedial programs. While working as learning specialists in their school district, they created a very successful reading clinic for students with severe learning disabilities. Research shows that a ‘one-size fits all approach’ will not close the achievement gap. Links 2 Learning Online Inc. addresses the need for expert intervention utilizing quality resources. The goal of Links 2 Learning is to provide a unique, effective and affordable solution that brings hope and new opportunities to children and adults who have previously struggled to succeed.
Conference Contribution: Heather will co-present Technology Solutions for Struggling Learners in the Test Driving Technology section of the conference.
